Phoenix Home Security

There are plenty of security companies in Phoenix.  In fact, it is the home of some of the largest Monitronics dealers in the entire country.  Titan Alarm is now listed as the 5th largest Monitronics dealer in the country.  As companies here in Phoenix continue to compete for business, there are a few major things you need to remember.

Home security companies always make their money on the contract.  A standard agreement for an Phoenix security company is 36 months.  Now, the more they can get you to pay per month is compounded over 3 years.  Do not settle to pay for the equipment.  With as much money as you will be paying to them over 3 years, they can afford to get you the necessary equipment, and install it for FREE.  Do not be the sucker that pays $1100 for your home security equipment.

One major piece of advice: Never sign an agreement with a company that is going to just take that contract and sell it off to someone else.  During the summer time you will see several companies that spam your neighborhood and try to “Same Day” you on buying their alarm.  This is a red flag.  They will get you to sign a contract, sell that contract for 32-34 multiples and now when you have a problem with your system, you don’t know who to call because your account get switched to several different companies.  When they sell your account, the term “multiples” is for how much they can get out of your contract.  If you have a good credit score, pay by direct checking withdrawal, they will get the most out of you.  Usually that situation would sell for a 34 multiple.  That means 34 x $35.99 (the monthly rate you pay)=$1223.66.  So if your contract value is worth that much, spending $200 on equipment for you and another $99 to the guy who installs it, is more than fair.
